This Privacy Policy explains how DOJOBID (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our app and website. By using DOJOBID you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, role (homeowner or contractor), and password (stored only as a secure hash).
  • Content you provide: job posts, descriptions, photos, messages, reviews, and contractor profile details (company, service area, license/insurance indicators).
  • Location: job addresses and approximate coordinates used to match jobs with nearby contractors. Precise addresses are only revealed to the relevant parties.
  • Payment information: processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we retain a payment reference and status.
  • Device & usage data: push-notification tokens and basic technical data needed to operate the service.

2. How we use information

  • To operate the marketplace — post jobs, submit and accept bids, and enable messaging.
  • To match jobs with relevant, nearby contractors.
  • To process acceptance fees and related payments.
  • To send notifications about bids, messages, and account activity.
  • To keep DOJOBID safe — reviewing reports, enforcing our Terms, and preventing abuse.

3. How we share information

We share information between homeowners and contractors as needed to complete a job (for example, revealing the precise address to an accepted contractor). We use service providers such as Stripe (payments), our hosting and database providers, and push-notification services. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Your choices & rights

  • Access & update: view and edit your profile in the app or on the website.
  • Delete your account: permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from the Account section. This removes your profile, jobs, bids, messages, and reviews.
  • Notifications: control push notifications in your device settings.

5. Data retention & security

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Children

DOJOBID is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
